The speedometer didn't work, and barely anyone noticed the lanes suggested by the broken white lines, or the red lights, so it was a harrowing and extremely exhilarating experience! We visited four of the thirty seven temples nearby:

Now we are on a train back to Bangkok, where we will meet the newcomers for the second half of our G-Adventures tour of Thailand. Layne's sister wrote in an email that the situation in Bangkok has escalated a bit, so we will probably hang out in the hotel a lot, go swimming,
write the entries for the last four days..
